Benefit Full Face Get Ready With Me Review...

Hey guys :)
So, some of you might have seen my YouTube video, where I did my entire makeup using only Benefit products.
If you haven't seen it, watch it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYXmuOHedu4 then come back and read this :)

So, I wanted to let you know what I thought of the final look.
I must say, I myself am surprised at how it turned out! I thought being a high end brand that I would be left with the most flawless looking face, but I was sadly mistaken.

I was left with a face where my pores were greatly exaggerated and the creasing under my eyes were somewhat similar to the wrinkles of an 80 year old! I looked TERRIBLE. I looked so bad, once I noticed truly how bad it was I took all my makeup off straight away!

BUT, it must be said that I have read that with the Hello Flawless foundation, you are supposed to leave it for a few minutes after applying to really set into the skin, before setting with a powder. And I didn't want, as I never have done with any other foundation before. So I am not against Benefit products at all, just because it turned out bad this once! As generally I absolutely love all the products I used, I had just never used them all together.

Here is the video, again. :)

Please can you all subscribe to my YouTube channel too :)
I will definitely be doing give aways once I reach certain numbers of subscribers too!

Thanks for reading,
Love, Abbie

Vichy Dermablend Foundation Review...

Hey everyone :)

So, I recently bought the Vichy Dermablend Fluid Corrective Foundation, after hearing only good things.
My first impressions of this foundation were amazing! But I soon realised there are some down sides to this foundation.

When I first apply this I am amazed by the coverage. It covers all of my blemishes, redness, spots, veins etc. But after a couple of hours this foundation is already wearing off the skin. It goes patchy, and feels cakey the longer you wear it. I don't have oily skin, and right now my skin isn't particularly dry either, as I have been using my Dermatique moisturiser. But this foundation always wears away on my skin, my nose, cheeks and forehead.
It is also very easy to use too much of this foundation, which can make it look very very cakey, but a little goes a very, very long way.

In my opinion this foundation is only suited for short term wear, because after an hour or two it starts to look very patchy and horrible. I've tried applying it with a brush, my hands, a sponge. And I have tried setting it with different powders, high end and drug store. And I have tried using different primers also, but the foundation always wears away after a couple of hours.

I would rate this product a 4/10, mainly for it's coverage, if it lasted longer and did not feel so cakey then it would undoubtably get closer to a 10/10.

It retails at £18.

Makeup Look using some of my Beauty Crowd products...

Okay, so I wanted to do a review blog post today about something I bought recently, but something came up and it means I haven't had the chance to take photos of the product and swatches :( so I will put up that blog post tomorrow. But as I really wanted to have a blog post up today for you all I will post about the products I used for this look:

For foundation I used the sample of the Bell foundation I got from Beauty Crowd. As mentioned in my previous post, I liked this foundation but it didn't wow me enough to go and buy the full sized product. It was very VERY thick, and sort of just sat on my face and felt cakey rather than being comfortable to wear. It was medium to full coverage though which, as you might know, I like. But other than that it wasn't that amazing.

As for primer I used my favourite, L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream. Followed by the natural collection green concealer on any red areas. Then I used the LA Girl Pro Concealer, which I LOVE! I definitely think it's a close dupe for Benefit's Erase Paste, in terms of thickness and coverage. I then set the concealer with my usual, MAC's Prep and Prime Transparent Finishing Powder.

For bronzer I used Freedom's Bronzer in the shade 110, which again, I love! I contoured my face using the Freedom Pro Contour Kit in fair. I then used my natural collection blusher in Peach Melba. I then used the Milani Highlighting Powder.
On my eyes I used various pinky and purpley shades from the LA Girl Ultra Palette, but first I primed by eyes with the lightest, almost white, shade from the Freedom Concealer palette! It really is amazing for that! I then used the Freedom liquid liner, which I thought was really nice, it is great if you want to create a really nice thin line! As the brush is so precise and thin. Then I also used the Milani Total Lash Cover Mascara (not pictured), which, again, is amazing! I also lined my lower lash line and water line with my HelenE black eyeliner. I then filled in my brows with the usual, Soap and Glory Archery and Benefit's Gimme Brow.
On the lips, I used MAC's Twig lipstick. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this lipstick.

Overall, I liked most of the products I used, but I wasn't too sure that I liked the way this look.
Did you like this look? Let me know :)

I will hopefully have the review post up tomorrow, but if you follow me on Instagram then you probably already know what I will be talking about.
