My Makeup Revolution lipstick collection and SWATCHES...

Hey everyone, so, I thought that as I recommend any MUA and Makeup Revolution lipsticks in my Makeup Starter Kit Essentials post, I thought it would be useful if I showed you my collection and swatches.
I am starting it all off by showing you my Makeup Revolution lipstick collection and swatches, as MUR is a brand that I love, it is one of my all time favourite brands, and the vast majority of the products I have used are actually amazing.

Here is a picture of all of my MUR lipsticks. Most of them are the £1 lipsticks, but 5 of them are the I Heart Makeup lipsticks that are around £2.99 each.

So, here are the swatches:

L-R: nude, the one, dusky, divine

L-R: dazzle, cheer, chic, enchant, crime

L-R: rebel with cause, dare, reckless, passion, fusion.

L-R: black heart, make me tonight, make it right, 100% vamp.

L-R: baby doll, racing heart, immoral, heart is pumping, irregular heartbeat, marshmallow kiss.
As you can see, the majority are super super pigmented despite how cheap they are! The stand out shades, in my opinion are, dusky, crime, reckless, make it right, 100% vamp and marshmallow kiss. I love most of them, but they are definitely the ones I'd recommend the most and are amongst the most pigmented.
The matte shades are a little drying, but if you apply a tiny bit of lip balm under the lipstick then it'll massively reduce this!

Overall, I will always recommend MUR lipsticks, they are so cheap, yet amazingly pigmented and the none matte shades are super creamy, yet the matte shades do look gorgeous on the lips!

You can buy them directly from the Makeup Revolution website, or from selected Superdrug stores and online.

MUA Luxe Bronze & Sculpt Contour Kit Review...

Hey everyone, now, I wanted to do this quick blog post about a new favourite product of mine! I have been searching for a new highlighter for ages, as all of the highlighters I have, despite the fact that they are nice, they don't highlight as much as I would like them to. I love the look of the Balm's Mary Lou-manizer, but I didn't want to fork out the money for it. I was determined to find an affordable highlighter that I love! I did't think it was ever going to happen until I found this product.

Look at that highlight on my high point of my cheekbone!!
That was exactly the look I wanted to achieve from a highlighter powder, and until now I hadn't found anything that gave my this look!
Now, you are probably wondering what this amazing product is that I am raving about and more important how much is it?! Well, to answer the question of cost, it is only £5, AMAZING! But what is even more amazing is that it also comes with a contour shade, which is equally as impressive as the highlighter!
So enough of the suspense now, the product I am talking about it the MUA Luxe Bronze and Sculpt Contour Kit in the fair/medium shade!
Just take a look at how gorgeous, both the product AND the packaging is!

The highlighter, at first glance, didn't look as though it was going to fulfil the highlighting dream drugstore product I had in my head, because I thought it was going to be more of a shimmery bronzer than a highlighting shade, but oh how wrong I was! It is beautiful. The contour shade too is totally matte, and gives the most lovely contour, as pictured below (both the highlighter and the contour). Both powders are very creamy to apply and definitely do not feel chalky at all! The contour shade blends beautifully, and looks great on my pale skin, in my opinion, as my fake tan is fading.

I literally can not get enough of this highlighter, and just the kit in general, because it is so affordable, yet performs so well, and is of outstanding quality. I personally think that when I use it, it feels like I am using a high end product. The only thing that makes it seem cheaper is because of the plastic packaging, but that doesn't bother me one bit.

Again, this product retails at £5, and you can buy it here: http://www.superdrug.com/MUA/MUA-Luxe-Contour-Kit-Fair-Medium-735/p/471303#.Vb-Ax0IQK0s

I hope you all liked this post :)
If anyone already has this product, or goes out and buys it because of this post, let me know what you think! I'd love to hear from you.
Also, if anyone wants me to do a review on a drugstore product let me know, and I will try my best to do it if I don't already own the product, but if I do own the product I will definitely do a review for you :)

I hope you all have a lovely day, and keep your eyes out for a new blog post either tomorrow or Wednesday
<3

Disclaimer: this post is not sponsored in anyway, I bought this product with my own money, and all opinions are my own. I just genuinely love this product more than I would have thought, and it really deserves to be mentioned and raved about!

Beauty Crowd Mini Haul Swatches and First Impressions...

So as you might have seen from yesterday's post, I did some shopping online at Beauty Crowd :D
I promised I would take some better pictures, and swatches and possibly some first impressions, so here it is :)

I got a sample of this Bell foundation and primer. I used the foundation today, and I did really like it, but it didn't wow me enough to want to buy the full sized product.

I also got the Milani Illuminating Face Powder in the shade Beauty's Touch. It is really hard to see the swatch from the pictures, being a subtle blush/highlighter, but I do really like it.

You can buy it here: https://www.beautycrowd.com/products/milani-illuminating-face-powder
It retails at £8.

I also bought this LA Girl Ultra Eyeshadow Palette. The swatches was one light amount of the eyeshadow, so I think they are really nicely pigmented given the price!
I couldn't find it on the website but it retails at £6.

I also got one of these Bell lipsticks thrown in too, it is a gorgeous shimmery pink shade. Admittedly it isn't the kind of I would normally reach for but it also means I don't have a colour much like this, but I definitely want to start wearing these kind of colours. It also feels so moisturising and smooth!
I can't find it on the Beauty Crowd website, nor do I know the retail price. I will keep by eye out and update this post as soon as I see they are available.
I also bought the Milani Total Cover Mascara. I have used it twice now and it is amazing! It really gives the illusion of false lashes and you only need 2 coats at the most!
You can buy it here: https://www.beautycrowd.com/products/milani-total-lash-cover-mascara
It retails at £6.
I also bought the LA Girl Pro Concealer in the shade natural. I used it today and the coverage is flawless! It is very comparable to the Erase Paste by Benefit, but as such a lower price. I don't like the applicator too much, but for the quality of the product it isn't too much to put up with.
It retails at £5.
I also bought the Micellar water from Bell. It is so soothing on the skin and feels so gentle. The micellar water I am currently using is one I am not too fond of anyway but it stings my skin when I use it, but this one doesn't do that at all! It feels so nice!
It retails at £4.95.

This was just a quick blog post, again, for you all :)
New blog post coming at some point at the weekend!

Makeup Revolution, Death by Chocolate Palette...

As requested from the poll results, here is a blog post with swatches from my favourite eye shadow palette from Makeup Revolution.
This palette is from a brand/range within the Makeup Revolution brand, called I <3 Makeup, it is the Death by Chocolate palette.

This palette is amazing, I use it a lot!
As you can see by the swatches below, the colours are so pigmented.
The lighter colours need a little bit more building up to get a good amount of colour, but the darker, and more dramatic shades are outstandingly pigmented.
All is lost, fool's gold, pray for me, dipped and tease me are my favourite shades, they are beautiful!
A bonus with this is palette is the slight chocolate scent of the eye shadows. I've heard some people say that it does not smell of chocolate at all, but mine definitely does, and its so nice.
I do not like the applicator that it comes with, as I prefer to use my makeup brushes, BUT I do still use it for packing a lighter colour all over the lid, and it is perfect for that.

Additionally, when I was swatching each shade I could really tell how creamy and soft the formulation of these powder eyeshadows are, which blew me away.

This palette can create endless amounts of eye shadow looks, from subtle to dramatic, day to night, everyday to all out glam.
This palette retails at £7.99 from Superdrug, which really is so inexpensive given the quality and pigmentation.

I hope you liked this post, and I have a lot more swatch blog posts I can do, including more from Makeup Revolution, but also swatches of other products from other brands too. So keep checking back for them :)
