Superdrug Haul...

Hey lovelies! So, as promised, here is my latest haul!

I am super excited about this one as there is a few of the new Freedom products in it, and *spoiler alert* I already love them!

But first of all, I bought a Makeup Revolution gift set, it came with three face brushes, a highlight and contour powder duo, and a separate highlighter.

This set was just £10, so I didn't expect too much from the brushes. But they are amazingly soft, and have a bit of weight to them too which makes them more comfortable to use and they feel a lot less cheap.

The highlighter is so pigmented too! It is a gorgeous gold highlight, and doesn't make your face look like you've just thrown glitter on it, instead it makes you look like you have gorgeous dewy skin. All of which I would never have expected from such a cheap product.

The highlight and contour duo is also gorgeous, completely matte and super blendable and perfect for pale skin.

Onto the first Freedom product, the new pro contour shaped stick:

I got it in light, which I still thought wouldn't be light enough for my pale skin, but it really was! The highlight was near enough white, which is rare from cheaper cream highlights.
They blend so easily, and you don't need too much of it either.
It is well worth £5!

Next, the brow pomades.
I got dark brown (left) and ash brown (right).

I haven't actually used these yet, but I did swatch these and all I can say is a little goes a long way and they do not budge! I had to scrub a lot to get this off the back of my hand.
They are also a total bargain at £5.

I also got one of the pro highlights in ambient:
It is a super subtle highlight, that is perfect for every day, and for those who are a little scared of the dramatic highlighted look.
This was only £3 too!

I also had to get this Bourjois powder, as I keep hearing good things about it.

I can't really say how it good it is yet as I have only used it once, but so far it seems okay. I am really fussy with powders and I yet to find the perfect one. This was around £8.99.

I also got another gift set, this was from the brand Studio.

It came with 4 brushes, three face and one eye shadow. These too are super soft and I love the matte black handles. This set was £5!

The last but definitely not least product is the Pro HD eyebrow palette in medium/dark!

The eyebrow stencils are AMAZING! I have never used stencils before as I thought it would make my brows look tragic, but these are so good. I used one and it literally took 10 seconds to do my eyebrows! I am so annoyed I didn't try them sooner, it is going to save me so much time in the mornings.

Here is some swatches of some of the shades.

This kit is amazing for £10! 12 eyebrow powders, a highlighter, a gel, a brush, a big mirror and 4 stencils! Brilliant!

So far I love all of the products and I can't wait to keep using them so | can do a full review on them.

Keep an eye out for my next blog post which will be a full review of the Smashbox Shape Matters palette.

Love,
Abbie

Benefit Pore Proof Kit Review UPDATE

Hey guys, this is just a min blog post, before I post my latest haul tomorrow :D

Do you all remember the review I did on the Benefit Pore Proof kit?

Well, if not you can read it here: http://diaryandconfessionsofamakeupaddict.blogspot.co.uk/2015/08/benefit-operation-pore-proof-first.html

Basically, I hated it! BUT I do need to update you all on this situation!

Before I wrote the blog post I emailed, tweeted and messaged Benefit about how rubbish it was, and how I was annoyed that I had spent so much money on a product I couldn't use. To be honest, I didn't expect a response, nor did I know what I wanted them to do about it. All I wanted to do is see how they would try and sort it out.

It took them ages to reply but I was very happy when they did, straight away they offered me a full refund and a refund of the the postage cost to send it to them!

I received my refund a few days ago, and I am really happy with their customer service. Because of this I am no longer put off buying any Benefit products again, because I know they will try their best to sort it all out if I do hate it.

I still love the Benefit brand as a whole, just that one product was so, so bad!

Check back tomorrow for my latest haul, featuring Freedom, Makeup Revolution and more :)

Love,
Abbie

BOOTS HAUL...

So, as promised, here is my latest haul!
It's a rather exciting one, for me, as one thing I bought I just could not say no to, and it's a high end brand make up product! But I am going to save that until last, haha.

Firstly, I bought the Loreal True Match foundation.
Yes I do actually already own this foundation, in the same shade but I had to have a new one because the packaging has changed, haha. Oh god, I know it's so sad when I say it out loud, well type it, but you know what I mean. But the new packaging is so nice, definitely beats the old one! And it's still the same price as before too so that's a bonus :)
I got the shade N1, it's the lightest and it is super pale, possibly too pale for me, but I can still make it work.
It still blends SO EASILY, and a little goes a really long way.
It was £9.99, which, again, I believe to be the same price as the original Loreal True Match foundation.

Next, I bought a new makeup sponge, as mine are looking very sorry for themselves so I had to throw them out.

I bought one of the Real Techniques miracle complexion sponges, which was £5.99. My old sponges were Model Co ones, and I can tell how much better quality this Real Techniques one is! And I just thought all makeup sponges would feel the same, after all they are just a sponge, but I was very wrong, haha.

Then, I bought a Rimmel brow pencil, as I needed some new brow stuff and I remember loving this product before, so I thought I'd give it a go again.
The colour seems okay, but the real test will obviously be using it properly on my brows. It was a steal at £2.99!

Then I bought another old favourite of mine, the Rimmel stay matte pressed powder.
I am on the hunt for the best drugstore pressed powder and I still haven't found one that blows me away, so I have high hopes for this one as I used to love it and I still hear so many good things about it. It was only £3.99 too!

I bought two bottles of my favourite quick brush cleaner too!
I seriously love this stuff, but it runs out so quickly as I have soooo many brushes so I had to buy two and make the most of the buy one get one half price on No7 products. This is the No7 Brush Cleanser and they retail at £8 each.

I also got the new(ish) Loreal Miss Manga mascara.
I don't actually know if I will like this, but I will always give something a go. It was £8.99 so I hope I like it, haha.

Finally for the drugstore/affordable products, I got the Loreal Lumi Magique primer.
It's a very illuminating primer, which I like as I don't have many of them. I can't wait to use it. It was £9.99. It blends out really nicely and a little goes a long way too.

Okay, so the most exciting product.....
This product retails at £60 but Boots are offering it for £30!!! At that price I could NOT say no, could I?

It is this....
Isn't it just beautiful!?!? I switched a few of the eyeshadows too and omg they are so pigmented and beautiful and omg there are no words to describe how excited I am to use this!
No doubt I will have a proper first impressions up as soon as I've used it, so keep an eye out for that :)

Anyway, that's all I bought :)
I hope you enjoyed, please remember to follow me on Instagram and Twitter username for both is oxmakeupaddict. And like my Facebook page Diary and Confessions of a Makeup Addict for post updates, pictures, sneak peaks, etc :)

Just a little update...

Hi guys,

I know I haven't posted anything on here for weeks *sad face* but I thought I'd update you all on what I've been up to and where the hell I have been, haha.

Firstly, I've been in my new job for just over a month now, and I really like it so far, but I am still only training, and I can not wait to actually get on with my job!
So obviously that takes up a lot of my time, especially as I am up at 6am, and I don't get home until just before 6pm, so obviously I am tired most days when I get home, so I don't really find that I have the time to make blog posts after work.

My plan was to do blog posts at the weekends, which I have done a couple, but recently I have also been busy on the weekends, as me and my boyfriend have had our mortgage application accepted!! YAY, so now all we need to do is find a house and as we both work on weekdays we only have the weekends to view houses and stuff.
We've viewed a couple of houses already, and we are going to view another one this weekend. We are just waiting for the perfect house to come along :)

We are both super super excited to have our own house! I am even picking room colour schemes and stuff already! I already know I want the living room to be cream and chrome, the kitchen to be white and grey, the main bedroom to be white and blue, my makeup room to be all white walls with black furniture and random little pops of colour in.
And, yes, that is right, A MAKEUP ROOM, I will definitely be having my own little makeup/glam room, and I am sooooo excited haha!

Anyway, I will hopefully have a haul post coming this weekend guys! I got paid yesterday and then last night sat on the Boots website for like an hour and spent lots of money, oops, while I can. But I got some REALLY exciting things, and I can not wait to collect it all on Saturday :)

Thanks for reading guys,
What are you all up to today? I am at work until 5:30 then treating me and my boyfriend to Nandos :)
I hope you all have a lovely day. It is nearly friday YAY!
Love, Abbie
