My boob job experience (so far)

Monday 11th July 6pm:

So it's the day before my operation and I am really calm. Not nervous at all! Which has surprised me, I thought I'd be a nervous wreck the day before. I guess it hasn't really sunk in yet. It hasn't sunk in that I will be put to sleep tomorrow while I'm cut open and have two foreign objects put into me! Yep, even writing that I don't feel nervous because it doesn't feel real.

People keep asking me if I'm nervous or scared of the pain, and my honest answer is no. I'm not scared. Yes it might be bad. Yes I might have times where I am in so much pain I am crying in agony. Yes I may struggle. But it's all for something I have waited years and years for. No pain no gain! If I was in anyway scared, nervous, worried, or hesitant at this point then I'd question whether I actually wanted to have it done in the first place. I will undoubtably be nervous tomorrow, especially when I get to the hospital, because of the fact I am being cut open after all. But up until now I've not had one second thought, not one second of being nervous or worried. And I've been nothing but excited. Which I think is the whole point of it, it's something I have wanted for so so long, something that's a dream to me, and still feels like a dream, and something that is going to hugely benefit me by making me more confident and happy about myself; of course I am going to be super excited!

The only thing I've had second thoughts about is whether I'm getting big enough implants, and whether I really want it under the muscle. But I've done enough research to know the size implants I am going will look very natural on me, and I am not after ridiculously enormous boobs anyway! And going under the muscle is generally a lot better anyway, for the look, feel and longevity of the implant. The only downside with going under the muscle is the increase in pain during recovery. Which as I said before I am no scared about, as it will be worth it.

My bag is almost ready, with sports bras, front fastening day shirts and night shirts, pjs, socks, and pants. I will add my toothbrush and toiletries in the morning. I am packing overnight stuff just in case, and extra sports bras just in case. And extra clothes just in case. I always have to pack extra, always haha! Imagine how terrible I am when it comes to packing to go on holiday, haha.

Anyway, I have to be there at 7:30am tomorrow morning. So we are leaving the house at 6:30, it takes roughly 45-50 minutes to get there but I have to be early for everything. I am waking up at 5am, to have a nice relaxing bath, then get my bag completely ready, sort the cat out and get the armchair ready for when I get back. I will get it ready with my pillows, blankets and pulled away from the wall so I can recline too.

I am about to make dinner, and will be trying to eat as much of it as I can seeing as I can't eat from midnight tonight. I will update you on how I am feeling in the morning! I kind of doubt I will get any sleep tonight as all I will think about it my operation being tomorrow, but I really do not mind. I will be sleeping most the day tomorrow anyway. 

Tuesday 12th July 5:40am:

So I woke up just before 5am. I had a rubbish night sleep, but NOT because of nerves or excitement, but because my cat was extra clingy and extra fussy last night and just wanted to lie all over me all night. But I'm not that bothered about being tired. I will get plenty of sleep over the next couple of days.

I had a bath, got up bought almost everything downstairs that I am brining with me to the hospital. Including the over night bag, dressing gown, laptop for me and the iPad to keep James entertained while he is there and I bought down the spare duvet and I've put it on the arm chair ready for when I get home.

I woke up hungry too! And right now I am quite hungry and thirsty. On a normal day I could go a couple of hours without a drink of water really. And I don't have a drink of water until I get to work 3 hours after I've woken up sometimes! But today of all days, I really would like a glass of nice cold water right now. It must be because I can't have it, and my body is making me think I want it.

Anyway, I'm almost ready, hair is wet but from what I've researched that's fine to turn up with slightly damp hair anyway and everything is ready, I think. All that needs to be done is for me to feed the cat, and for James to wake up! We aren't leaving for another 45 minutes though.

7:30am: I'm at the hospital, in my room, number 26 to be exact. And I've just found out I am first on the list and I am so happy! I'm still not that nervous!

7pm: okay guys, I went down for my operation at 8:30-9ish and was back into my room at 10:30. The first thing I said when I came around after my operation was 'is James okay?!' So even after having surgery I cared more about whether my boyfriend was okay before myself, haha. All I've done is sleep all day. I left the hospital at about 5ish. The car journey home wasn't too bad at all, probably because there were no speed bumps on the journey thank god! All I've felt so far is the heaviness in my chest and tightness. I would rate my pain roughly a 3 or 4 out of 10. So it's really not bad.

Sunday the 17th July:

I'm so sorry guys, I would have documented every day but it really wasn't a priority, obviously.

But the day after my operation I was surprised at how well I slept. I spent most the day resting, had a couple of small naps too. But in the afternoon I had to go out as being in the house all day sat doing nothing was driving me insane so I just went to the supermarket to look around and get myself a decent magazine to read.

Post op day 2 (Thursday):

I was in the most pain of the whole experience BUT it was only a 6/10. And painkillers really eased the pain so it was totally bearable. The pain didn't stop me from going out though; I went to surprise my mum at her house, as I hadn't seen her since my operation yet. And then I went to James' parents to see them and me and James took one of the dogs for a walk.

I also had my first bath/shower on this day. I had the shallowest bath ever, cleaned myself, shaved, etc. And then James washed my hair making sure my plasters and incisions didn't get wet. 

Post op day 3 (Friday):

My pain had subsided massively!

I went shopping as well (for makeup, yay). And then my mum and step dad came round to my house to see me too. So I spent the day doing relatively normal things. 

Post op day 4 (Saturday):

I went out for lunch with James and coped fine. 

I also woke up in NO pain at all! And I only took one pain killer the whole day!

After lunch we went shopping again, spent time at James' Nan's and I felt 'normal' again. Back to before in terms of the fact I had basically no pain and could do normal everyday things. 

I managed to wash my hair myself! 

Post op day 5 (Sunday):

I had no pain all day again and had no pain killers at all.

I spend the day at James' parents for Sunday dinner, went for a walk with James' niece and nephew too.

Again it was just a normal day to me.

 

Post op day 6 (Monday):

Not much to report, went out for lunch that's it. But again no pain. Felt normal.

Post op day 7 (Tuesday):

I went back to work, it was a bit more tiring than normal, but I was perfectly fine. Seat Belts no longer hurt me from this day, nor do speed bumps. Yay!

It was also my first post op appointment with the nurse. She changed and cleaned my plasters and cut the ends of so my incisions can breath. Told me I can shower properly and get them wet but I need to change the plasters after every shower, making sure to cut the ends off the plasters.

Now we are at post op day 9 (Thursday) and I still feel no pain.

The incisions itch a lot sometimes, but that's because they are healing. Sometimes it feels like the incisions are running on my sports bra or on the plasters or something and can sting a little but it's fine.

The itching is annoying but I am taking hayfever tablets which minimises the itching a little.

I can not wait to have the band (binder), that pushes the implants down, off though! That itself itches my skin, and it's so tight, makes picking out clothes to wear very very difficult and it's just annoying and in the way.

But so far I LOVE my new boobs! So much. Clothes look SO much better on me. And I feel so much more confident. I can't wait to go underwear shopping once they are all healed already. And I am so happy I've gone through this experience, I have no regrets whatsoever so far. I am over the moon!

Baby powder as makeup?!

So, as promised, here is a new blog post.

First of all thank you all so much for the 10,000 blog views! I am so happy right now. 

Anyway, I want to talk about something that I have tried that is new to me, but I wish I'd have tried it many months ago.

Let me take you back a few months first; I have been on the hunt for an amazing loose powder to set my concealer under my eyes for AGES! I discovered the MAC loose finishing powder a while back and fell in love. But since nearly finishing it I have been on the hunt for a cheaper alternative as it pains me to have to spend so much money on a powder every few months. I have tried some gosh ones, a loreal one, a Primark one, some pressed powders but none of them I loved as much as the MAC one! Although the Primark PS Pro loose powder did come very VERY close! As well as the NYX HD pressed powder too.

But recently I've seen videos of people using baby powder on their face to set their concealer, bake under their contour and highlight areas of the face a little too. And yes, you read that correctly- baby powder!

Well I thought I'd give it a try, I mean everyone was right about how amazing the Nivea for men post shave balm was as a primer! So I couldn't say no to trying this out too.

You can get baby powder as cheap as £1, so I grabbed a tub of the stuff and actually emptied some into my old MAC loose powder tub, as that was the only tub to hand to pour it into. And, well, I've used the baby powder on a beauty blender to set my concealer and bake areas of my face for a couple of weeks now and all I can say is that I wish I'd have done this a long time ago as it is AMAZING!
It's light on the skin, it smells amazing, it's soft, it's very fine on the skin, and it brightens under the eyes too a little. It cleans up under my contour brilliantly too, and it doesn't crease easily either. The areas of my face that I used the baby powder to set my face actually stayed set all day too.

I can not praise this enough. I no longer need to buy a new MAC finishing powder ever again! I actually think I prefer the baby powder! Because it lasts longer and smells better and it is softer.

Everyone needs to try this, at least once. You've not lost much if it doesn't work for you either.

1 year old...

My blog is 1 year old today!

YAYYYYY.

I will be up a blog post later today in celebration of this.

It'll be a makeup blog post, obviously, and it's going to be all about a product I have found that is AMAZING, really cheap, and just as amazing as my MAC alternative! It's something I think EVERYONE should try out. 

I will reveal all later today. :)

Until then, I want to see my blog get up to 10,000 views before the end of the day, so we can say this blog has reached 10,000 in a year. I never thought I would get 100 views ever, so if I could reach 10,000 before the end of the day it would really mean the world to me!

The Power of Makeup & New Favourite Drugstore Products

Hi guys, so today I have done half of my face with makeup, to show the 'power' of makeup.

I wouldn't ever do this much makeup on a daily basis, this would be the type of makeup I would do for a special occasion or to go out, but definitely not for every day.

To be honest, mine isn't as dramatically different as some people's, which I think is a good thing. I don't change the appearance of my face entirely, I just try and make a few things look better.

I don't wear makeup to impress anyone, nor do I wear it because I hate the way I look. Admittedly I do feel more comfortable with makeup on, but I mainly wear makeup because I love applying it, using new things, and seeing how much of a difference it can make. It is fun, and I enjoy using makeup, and I do it for me and not to impress anyone else, or because anyone else makes me feel that I have to.

These are the products I used on my face:

I know there is a lot, but like I said, I never wear this much on a daily basis. This was just to show how different it can make my face look.

The vast majority of what I used is drugstore/affordable makeup, which is amazing because I hope this shows that you don't need to spend a lot of money on makeup to have a high quality product that looks good.

For example, the w7 bronze stick, I used for contour (not knowing it wasn't the contour stick, oops) but it was amazing! And the NYX contour kit, is my favourite contour kit at the moment, and I do have a fair few, including a couple from Smashbox, yet I would always pick the NYX one over the more expensive Smashbox one. 

Also, the PS Pro Loose Powder is my new favourite! I no longer need to buy the expensive MAC loose powder because the Primark one is EXACTLY the same, and it is only £5.

And, the Goddess of Love highlighter from Makeup Revolution's I Heart Makeup range, is so good for the small price tag, and I actually find myself reaching for it more often than any other highlighter I have recently.

Now, I am about to take all this makeup off, and have a nice makeup free day, but first, I think I want to see my boyfriend's reaction to me walking around the house with half a face of makeup on! I wonder if he will even pay that much attention to notice, haha!

Kylie Cosmetics Review- Lip Kit, Metal Matte & Glosses!

Hi Lovlies!

As you can see I am doing a review on some of the Kylie Cosmetic's products! Now, I am going to be totally honest in this review, as always, as these can be seen as expensive, especially if you live in the UK like me, and end up having pay custom fees on top of the cost of the product and shipping fees. I mean, these were all ordered at 3 separate occasions, but the one lip kit ended up costing £45 including the fees. I was also charged a debit card and a separate purchase fee on my card for all 3 orders. The Glosses probably totalled around £60 once all the fees were applied. And King K probably only cost me £20 in total as I managed to dodge the custom fees with that one.

But now lets get onto the review, which is what you are all here for.

Lets talk about King K, right I wasn't too sure about this when I ordered it. I wanted Heir but it was out of stock, so I got this instead. But I am SO happy. I am in love with it! I have worn it alone, and in the centre of my lips with MAC's Velvet Teddy and I love it worn both ways. It lasts a good 6 hours before needing to be reapplied, thats even with drinking and eating! It doesn't feel drying at all, it actually feels like nothing on the lips. And despite it being a gold lipstick, basically, it is so wearable! I have worn this to work, with velvet teddy, and I loved it! My only disappointment was that I wish it came with a lipliner, as it is meant to work better with a liner.

Next up, Kourt K. This was my first Kylie Cosmetic's purchase, as I LOVE a purple lip. I do like this, but it is patchy, it is drying, and doesn't last that long. I have worn it to work before (on a dress down day) and my lips felt horrible at the end of my 8 hour shift! I also had to reapply SO MANY times, at least 8 times! As it kept crumbling off in places, but reapplying just made it worse, and dryer and dryer, and then crumblier and crumblier. I would only ever wear this now on a night out, as long as I only drink through a straw! I also wouldn't eat with this on, as it just comes off so easily when eating and drinking.

Finally, the glosses.

I don't usually like glosses, but got a bit over excited and ordered these on a whim. But I do not regret it. Forgetting that as I ordered these the day they were released my So Cute applicator is f**ked! But they are sending replacements of ALL THREE! Yes, all three, despite the fact I told them only one of my applicators have messed up! Also my Like gloss has one of the new applicators too. So I do feel lucky that only one gloss messed up, and I a being send replacements of all three. 

These glosses are the most pigmented glosses ever, they are not sticky, and smell gorgeous. I wear them to work, and reapply at lunch, and then at the end of the shift and thats all I need. They last really well. But do not wear your hair down when you wear them! Your hair will stick to your lips, and then smudge the gloss over your face and you will walk around the office all day with gloss over your face and not even notice! Yes, that happened to me *face palm*. I am more annoyed that everyone let me walk around with gloss on my face and didn't even tell me! Haha. So now I only wear these if I have my hair up in a pony tail or bun! My favourite is Like, which is surprising as I thought So Cute would be my favourite and Like would be my least favourite, but it is actually the other way around.

Anyway, I think I am done with purchasing from Kylie Cosmetics, only because it works out as being so expensive, in the UK you have to wait a long time to get it (from point of order, to actually having it in your hand it takes roughly 3 weeks as it can take 1 week to even dispatch), and because although I LOVE King K, the lip kit hasn't amazed me. Unless Kylie brings out something totally life changingly amazing, then I think the hype has ran out with me now. But I do like the products I have gotten, don't get me wrong.

Makeup room and makeup collection!

Hi everyone! Now, I am sorry I have been so absent from my blog for a while, but this blog post should make up for it.

So, if you didn't see my last post you wouldn't know that I recently moved into my own house! Crazy, I know right. When we were looking at houses one of my massive requirements is that there were 3 bedrooms, the main bedroom, a spare room, and one for my MAKEUP ROOM. And I got exactly that. I am so happy with my makeup room now, so I have to share it with you all. As well as a sneak peak into my makeup collection.

This is the feature wall, which is painted with grey glitter paint, and has these amazing fairy lights all along the wall. As well as this super cute picture, that I got from Primark. The fairy lights were also from Amazon, and were around £20.

On that feature wall there is this 'block' which is where I put my teddies, perfumes, candles, and filing case. 

There is also this gorgeous full length mirror, which is from The Range and was £80. It opens up and its where I store all my necklaces, bracelets and nail varnishes.

This is my desk area. The desk is from Ikea, and the chair is from Argos. I have all my brushes on the windowsill. I also have some candles, a LOVE sign and my Kim Kardashian Selfie book.

Next to the desk is my Ikea Alex draws, which is obviously a staple piece of furniture among makeup lovers!

On top I have few bits and bobs, as well as my Lush stuff, which as you can see I am running low, so I need to top up on some bath bombs asap! I also have these cute little prints, and pictures, the large one is from Argos and the little ones are from Primark.

My rug is also from Ikea, it is the softest thing in the world, and I love it.

My light shade is from Argos, and was a steal at around £10. 

Now, into the makeup draws, the best bit :D 

Eye stuff mainly. Mascaras, eyeliner, single eyeshadows, cream eyeshadows, some miniatures, bobbles and sponge applicators.

Powders, powders, powders. Bronzers, highlighters, blushers, contour kits, small palettes, etc.

Foundation. I literally have way too many foundations, but I can honestly say I do use the vast majority of them! I do use different foundations every day, but there are a couple I would only use in the summer, and some I would only use in the winter. There are also some which is so full coverage I would only use them for special occasions. But the rest I use a lot.

All of my palettes are in this draw, and its overflowing! There are mostly eyeshadow palettes in here, but also blush, contour, highlight and contour palettes.

This draw contains my concealers, primers, setting sprays, benefit miniatures, some skin care and eyebrow products.

LIPSTICK! This draw is a bit annoying, as I hate how I can't fit them all into my organisers but one day I will make this draw a lot more organised.

This just contains random little bits. 

In here is my hair curlers, straighteners and hair dryer.

New blog post very, very soon x

Quick little update and blog post requests

Hi everyone,

You may have noticed that I haven't uploaded anything on here for AGES! But the reason for that is that I just moved into my own house! Wohooooo!

So I have been busy busy busy since then, but as things are calming down a lot now, I will start uploading more often and slowly but surely I will be back to posting regularly.

In the new house I actually have my own makeup room! So I think my next blog post will be all about that. I will take lots of pictures, show you my makeup collection briefly and let you know where I got everything from.

Best of the best: primer!

Next up in this mini series: PRIMER!

I won't go on too much about this as I am sure you are all fed up of hearing about it. It's the new craze at the moment to use this product.

It is the Nivea for Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm.

This is best primer I have EVER used.

I used this everyday for a week, and people at work noticed that my makeup looked different, but better. They said it looked smoother and more 'flawless'!

I noticed that my makeup was lasting a lot longer. I do my makeup at 6am and don't get home until 6am. And usually I look in the mirror towards the end of the day at work and think 'ew why does your makeup have to look like this after wearing it all day :/' but now I don't think that because the only different I see is a little bit of fading on my chin where I lean on my hand.

I didn't use it for a couple of days this week to see if I noticed a difference and I most definitely did. My makeup didn't last very long and didn't look as flawless.

I will never stop using this as a primer. Some don't like the slight manly smell but I love it! I've always loved men's scents and it isn't a strong or heavy scent. 

This costs around £5 and I bought mine from Morrisons. The last time I went into Morrisons too it was on offer for £3! It's safe to say that there were none left, but if it's still on offer you might be able to grab one somewhere :)

Best of the best: Face Serum

Hi everyone! It's been a while, oops.

I am going to start a new 'mini series' of blog posts. Kind of like a favourites blog post, but instead I am going to talk about one product at a time. And these products I consider my ALL TIME FAVOURITE! Some are new products that I've only just started using, some will be old favourites that you'll have seen on past blog posts too. But these products are life changing! :') well they completely change your makeup game in my opinion!

So first off this blog post is going to be about my favourite face serum! 

No, it's not makeup, but before you apply makeup you want a smooth base, and this does EXACTLY that.

This is the Forever Aloe Nourishing Serum.

And fyi this is NOT sponsored, and I do NOT sell these products. I got bought this as a gift and fell in love with it since day one!

As soon as you put this on your face feels softer that it's ever, ever felt. But it also stays feeling soft. I try to put this one twice a day, morning (before makeup) and night, using two pumps and massaging it into my face. When you put it on at night when you wake up in the morning your skin feels amazing! And it creates the perfect smooth skin base to apply your makeup.

I'm not massively keen on the scent, but it's something I've gotten used to, it's not an unpleasant strong smell, it's just not the kind of smell I like. But I can look past that because it really makes your skin feel amazing!

I will repurchase this time and time again! I have no idea how much it was, as like I said it was bought as a gift.

Next up in this series is my all time favourite primer. I can't go a day without it and people have noticed how much better my makeup looks when using this primer too! So that will come very soon :)

A day in my life: New Years Eve 2015

31/12/2015

10:26am: I wake up. I am absolutely shocked at how long I've slept in. I'm used to waking up at 8am not half 10! But I feel so much better for it.

10:40am: I came downstairs to relax before finding something for breakfast.

10:58am: kinda hungry but got my cat fast asleep on my lap and I can't possibly move her! 

11:45am: my cat eventually moved so I got up grabbed a quick snack and ran a bath

I used a red glittery Fun from Lush as a bubble bar! 

12:25pm: Ive got out of the bath and every little hair, bit of fluff and stuff is sticking to me because I've moisturised my entire body! 

I used the Avon shampoo, conditioner and treatment set to wash my hair and I used some soap and glory products: clean on me, the scrub of your life and the righteous butter to moisturise. 

12:27pm: I head back downstairs to relax and as soon as I sit down on the sofa my other cat sits on me! 

Yes he is super fluffy!

1:15pm: James is on his way here from work :D about to make a cuppa tea for us both and also hoping he gets me a McDonalds on his way here.

He also has this surprise gift waiting for him when he gets here, for our two year anniversary tomorrow 

1:22pm: James just rung me saying he isn't get me McDonald's because he tried to ring me 1 minute ago and I didn't answer and now he's drove past McDonald's, need to stop having my phone on silent all the time haha!

1:40pm: James opened his present and he loves it! His little face lit up bless him! This is what I got him :) 

3:15pm: start doing my make up for our anniversary/New Years eve meal later. 

4:15pm: finished hair and makeup and just finishing packing my stuff for staying at James'. James has fallen asleep too 

4:30pm: we leave my house and head to James' so he can get ready 

5:30pm: so an hour before we have to go out James only just starts getting ready!! 

6:00pm: so it sounds like James took half an hour to shave his beard! He literally has 30 minutes to have a shower, do his hair and get dressed. We also need to take some pictures together too. 

6:30pm: and, we are ready 

7:00pm: we got to San Giovanni's

Here's our food for the night:

I had scallops and king prawns in a creamy sauce. 

James had crab cakes with sweet chilli sauce. 

I had steak with pate and a red wine gravy. 

James had steak with mushrooms in a Diane sauce.

We had sides of mixed vegetables, chips and sauces potatoes with onion, rosemary and bacon. 

James had apple cake with ice cream. 

I had triple chocolate mousse. 

8:30pm: two cocktails and three courses later we head down to the bar to spend the rest of the night at the bar for the NYE party.

9:00pm: I have my first ever margarita and it was AMAZING!

11:00pm: I've not long ordered my fifth cocktail and it was an espresso martini and I've got to admit it finished me! We had to leave early because I felt so sick 

11:30pm: we got home and watched Geordie shore until like 1am. 

1:00am: then we watched Big Bang theory until about 3am 

3:00am: we finally went to sleep.
